Workshops
The NEES@Lehigh RTMD Equipment Site Director, Professor James Ricles, and RTMD Operations staff members occassionally lead a workshop developed around the following objectives:
- To understand the technical capabilities of the RTMD site equipment, including conventional, distributed, and real-time hybrid simulation capabilities
- To observe, first-hand, real-time seismic testing and control
- To understand how the RTMD site can be utilized to enhance your affiliation's research needs
- To obtain the basic information required to write NEESR research proposals utilizing the RTMD site
The most recent workshop was a WebEx Webinar on February 27th, 2009, which has been archived on this website. If there is interest in learning more about the RTMD facility, private group workshops can be scheduled. Please contact us for more details.

The RTMD Facility contains a unique system enabling real-time hybrid simulation to investigate the multi-directional seismic response of structural components and systems. The workshop will provide prospective RTMD users with information necessary to develop a research proposal that takes advantage of the capabilities of the RTMD Facility. The registration is free and open to anyone who is interested in using the RTMD Facility.
