High Volume Pumps and Accumulators

Accumulator Shutdown Procedure

  1. Shut high volume pumps off (pumps 4, 5, 6).
  2. Hit accumulator control panel E-Stop button to flush accumulators. Wait about 15 minutes for oil to flush out of accumulator banks. The flushing noise will stop.
  3. In the pump house, open the two (2) valve levers pulling them up in the back.
  4. Turn the two valve wheels to the right labeled #3 to close them.
  5. Open #4 labeled value.
  6. Close both #5 labeled valves.
  7. Change limit on digital control panel to what the label states (around 15.10).

Enable High Flow pumps after Accumulator Shutdown

  1. Shut high volume pumps off (pumps 4, 5, 6).
  2. At the accumulator manifold, make sure the pressure gauges are 0.
  3. At the accumulator control panel, flip switch so green LED is enabled.
  4. Press green start button. Two red LEDs should be enabled on the accumulator manifold.
  5. High volume pumps can be turned on now.

Charging Accumulators

  1. Shut high volume pumps off (pumps 4, 5, 6).
  2. At the accumulator manifold, make sure the pressure gauges are 0.
  3. At the accumulator control panel, flip switch so red LED is enabled.
  4. Press green start button. Three red LEDs should be enabled on the accumulator manifold.
  5. High volume pumps can be turned on now.
